Clark’s Smash Shack was born from a simple truth passed down through generations: great food doesn’t need to be complicated. My love for cooking started in my grandmother’s small restaurant across from the Corning Factory in New York. It wasn’t fancy, but it didn’t need to be. People lined up out the door because they knew they’d get something real — fresh, honest food made with care.
She served thousands of workers, families, and travellers over the years, and every plate carried her belief that food should make people feel good. That philosophy shaped me long before I ever stepped behind a grill.

His passion lies in creating high‑quality, flavorful meals that are affordable, comforting, and made with care.
Family has always been at the center of Eric’s life. As a proud father and grandfather, he values time spent with loved ones and brings those same values into his food. Clark’s Smash Shack was born from a desire to serve honest, quality eats to the community, inspired by the cooking and love of his late grandmother. Her influence taught him that food has the power to bring people together, create memories, and make anyone feel at home. Every meal served is a tribute to that legacy—simple, satisfying, and made from the heart.
